Students and staff across King James have paid tribute to those who lost their lives in conflict at a special Armistice Day service.
Whilst a small group of veterans, cadets and special guests gathered at our Academy memorial to listen to a reading from Mr Whitehead and ‘The Last Post’ played by Mr Middleton, students in classrooms were able to watch a specially created video, which included a recording of Laurence Binyon’s poem, ‘For the Fallen’; this was read by pupils in Years 7 and 8. The poignant video, which included a variety of archive photographs, allowed all students to feel connected and to experience the importance of the service.
