As part of our Sports Academy, in partnership with Shildon AFC and Shildon AFC Youth, KJ1 Sixth Form students have the opportunity to learn and train as part of our Elite Football Academy.

Receiving training from experienced coaches, students could progress along our unique "Partnership Pathway" to become 

a Footballer at Northern League level or beyond, while studying for their Level 3 qualifications.

Students may study the Cambridge Technical Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity alongside qualifications such as Human Biology or Food Science to support their desired progression route. 

Alongside the academic qualifications, students will have the coaching opportunities and qualifications, physiotherapy experience at Shildon AFC, refereeing opportunities, sports media, photography, and sport experience, and paid work.

Matches will be played at Shildon AFC's Dean Street on their new 4G pitch.
